Crystal River Hideaway

A meandering drive through 5 acres of tropical flora, large oaks, dripping with Spanish moss and the calming sound of water falling into a spring-fed pond are some first impressions of this magical place of vanishing “Old Florida”. The home is reminiscent of a French Colonial plantation home, beautifully appointed with rattan and Tommy Bahama furnishings. A solar heated pool and relaxing Jacuzzi is as refreshing as the nature surrounding you. Top off the day by swimming with the gentle Manatees in the Springs of the Crystal River…. Or you may want to spend the day at nearby Gulf beaches or fish in the many waterways. This area is appropriately named “The Nature Coast” for its many encounters one has with nature. Abundant fresh seafood is a mainstay here, either caught by you or in one of many fine restaurants. Relax in the evening sitting on the front porch and listening to the tropical sounds of nature…..and imagine yourself in the most exotic place in the world.

Manatee Hideaway

You are on a 3000 acre Three Rivers Estate with an exclusive, private key for access to nearby Ichetucknee Springs. Incredibly clear springs are everywhere and Manatee Hideaway is right in the center of them all. Kayaking over miles long, crystal clear spring runs or tube drifting through beautiful primeval cypress forests are favorites of our guests. Our 5-Star host will arrange those memories for you. Or you may want to marvel at the abundant wildlife and beautiful cypress forests along the Santa Fe from our own, host captained, pontoon boat. You may even spot one of our winter visitors, a gentle giant manatee. While cruising along the Santa Fe, ask our host about the Native American history in the area. Moonlight & Sunset cruises are a favorite of his and will be yours as well. For the more adventurous, this area is world famous for cave diving, for no where in the world is there a more concentration of springs and underwater caverns to explore. At the end of the day, relax on our bench swing along the river or kick back on our spacious deck overlooking the meandering Santa Fe river while enjoying fare from our gas or charcoal grills. For the sports minded, Gator football and basketball is only 45 minutes away at the University of Florida for those sporting weekends or other activities.

Tennessee Bed & Barn

Escape to a bygone era in this circa-1883 farmhouse in a valley, far removed from the stress of high density population. Here, the only sights and sounds you will hear are those of nature, giving you a serene sense of well being. Some even call it the healing farm. You will approve the modern conveniences, while appreciating the preservation of the quaintness and charm of another era. Sitting on 25 acres of rolling green pastures surrounded by forested mountains, it’s a wonderful place to visit alone or gather with family. We are only an hour and half from either Knoxville, Nashville or Chattanooga. Outdoor activities abound: kayaking on the Calfkiller River, exploring Fall Creek Falls and Burgess Falls, hiking Cumberland State Park, fly fishing on the Caney Fork River or pulling monster catfish out of Center Hill Lake, or, right in our own backyard - hiking up the mountain logging roads taking you to beautiful vistas of the countryside. After all that activity, quench your thirst by taking a scenic drive to Calfkiller Brewery and hang out with some fine folks there. Tennessee Bed & Barn is great for a solitary or family getaways, class/family reunions, company workshops, friend retreats -- or, a wedding (we can help with all your event catering needs)! We haven’t forgotten your horses. Our equine guests will be very pleased with their 10 stall barn, paddocks and lush pasture.
